Ethical Clothing Statement

core values and trust

We operate within a framework that ensures we adhere to sustainable practices and are fully compliant and responsible. We know there’s always room to improve, however, we are proud of our efforts to always do better.

Our key objectives fall in line with our below pillars which are aligned to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDG). We have identified a number of specific SDGs to which we can contribute the most and on which we have the most impact.

We are seriously committed to ethical sustainability. We ensure our entire manufacturing process is performed to strict ethical standards. We start by sourcing only ethically farmed – non mulesed merino sheep wool from Australian compliant farmers. As part of our supply chain, we ensure our yarns are manufactured in ethically manufacturing processing plants. We then knit all of our fabrics in our own factory here in Melbourne Australia, ensuring all local awards are strictly adhered to, safeguarding our team members legal rights, entitlements and conditions. Our knitted fabric is then sent to our accredited dyer to wash, press and dye our fabrics, which we monitor to ensure they follow strict environmental and ethical standards and are ethically certified.

We then carefully and skillfully cut, sew, package and dispatch all of our garments in-house in our factory in Oakleigh (Melbourne, Australia) paying particular attention to compliance including safe working conditions, fully compliant OHS system, above award rate Australian wages, penalty rates for overtime, full holiday and sick pay and full superannuation for all of our employees under state and federal employment laws. We strictly manufacture in house and do not use out-workers under any circumstances.

Australian Made Certified

Australian Made

All of our garments are 100% Australian made and owned certified.

The famous Australian Made, Australian Grown (AMAG) logo is the true mark of Aussie authenticity. It’s Australia’s most trusted, recognised and widely used country of origin symbol, and is underpinned by a third-party accreditation system, which ensures products that carry the logo are certified as ‘genuinely Australian’.

As a registered certification trademark, the AMAG logo can only be used on products that are registered with Australian Made Campaign Ltd (AMCL), and which meet the criteria set out in the Australian Consumer Law and the AMAG Logo Code of Practice.

For more than 30 years, the AMAG logo has helped thousands of brands communicate their Australian credentials to consumers, businesses and all levels of government. It does this instantly and clearly, making it a powerful sales and marketing asset for authentic Aussie brands, and a helpful shopping aid for consumers around the globe.
